Calls to the national healthcare system (Gesy) in Cyprus will require caller identification starting in September 2026.
The Health Insurance Organisation announced the implementation of a one-time password (OTP) procedure for caller verification during phone communications.
This measure is aimed at enhancing security when beneficiaries request access to personal information.
General inquiries that do not require personal data access will still be directed to operators without the OTP requirement.
