Project Voria, a significant investment of €380 million, is set to transform the Maroussi area of Athens into a comprehensive hospitality and entertainment complex, with completion expected by May 2028. The development will include the relocation of Parnitha Casino to the site, further enhancing the area's appeal as a destination for visitors. The project is spearheaded by North Star Entertainment and aims to establish a modern resort that meets international standards.
To accommodate the anticipated increase in traffic due to this new complex, targeted interventions in the local road network are planned. These adjustments will focus on improving connectivity along key routes, particularly between Kifisias Avenue and Spyrou Loui Avenue, to ease congestion in the already busy region. Officials have stated that these infrastructure enhancements will be crucial to support the influx of guests to the Voria complex.
As the project moves forward, stakeholders are optimistic about its potential to significantly enhance the local economy and position Maroussi as a major hub for entertainment and tourism in Athens. The official announcement highlighted the importance of this initiative as the largest strategic investment in hospitality and entertainment in the northern suburbs of the city.
