The Typhoon Project has successfully completed its second phase of cleanups on six islands in the Southern Aegean, according to reports. The initiative is organized by the philanthropic Athanasios K. Laskaris Foundation, which aims to reduce coastal pollution in the region.
The latest efforts targeted the islands of Syros, Mykonos, Delos, Antiparos, Despotiko, and Keros. Significant improvements in local environmental conditions have been observed as a result of these cleanups. In addition, 918 students from Mykonos participated, expressing their commitment to preserving the natural beauty of their homeland.
The completion of this phase underscores the ongoing importance of environmental protection initiatives in the Southern Aegean, reflecting a broader commitment to combating pollution in the area.
