Two Greek criminal investigators, Vassilios Skouris and Ilías Koutouzis, have officially commenced their duties in Cyprus as part of the Independent Criminal Investigators' Team tasked with examining the "Mafia State" case. This investigation follows a report from the Independent Anti-Corruption Authority relating to allegations brought forth in the book titled "Mafia State."
The investigators have established their base at the Conference Centre in Nicosia. Upon their arrival, they met with local officials, including the Minister of Justice and the Deputy Chief of Police, to discuss procedural and organizational matters related to the investigation. The newly formed team aims to scrutinize evidence and summon witnesses as they intensify their inquiry into the case.
