The transfer of the relic known as the Holy Skull of Apostle Paul to Cyprus from the Vatican is scheduled for October 2026. This significant event is being organized by the Church of Cyprus, which regards the transfer as historically important. The relic will be placed for temporary veneration in Paphos, aligning with the official visit of Archbishop Georgios of Cyprus to the Vatican.
The process to bring the relic to Paphos had been previously interrupted due to the suspension of Metropolitan Tychikos. The upcoming visit of Archbishop Georgios to the Vatican is expected to facilitate the resumption of this transfer. This development highlights the continued efforts of the Church to enhance the significance of religious artefacts within Cyprus.
