This incident has been labeled as the first documented case of a ransomware operation in which a large language model (LLM) autonomously executed technical aspects of the attack, including breaking in and stealing credentials, as reported by BleepingComputer and The Register.
However, some reports indicate that the operation was not entirely autonomous.
