Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis toured Eastern Attica on June 16, visiting the Municipality of Vari-Voula-Vouliagmeni. This visit was part of what some outlets described as an intensifying pre-election marathon, following previous tours in Rhodes and Central Macedonia by New Democracy officials.
During his visit, Mitsotakis inspected the Vari Health Center, which has been fully renovated with resources from the Recovery Fund and has seen a significant increase in staff. According to Proto Thema, the Prime Minister stated that the center, dating from 1989, was in a problematic condition but is now practically new and equipped to provide quality primary care. He was accompanied by Deputy Health Minister Marios Themistocleous and the mayor. Mitsotakis also visited anti-flood projects at Korbi Stream, where he was briefed on the progress of interventions.
CNN Greece reported that during his visit to the Municipality of Vari-Voula-Vouliagmeni, Mitsotakis remarked that "the Mayor opened our eyes." Iefimerida.gr also reported that the Prime Minister made comments regarding political opponents, stating that "Tzamba 1 competes with Tzamba 2," while asserting that his party creates wealth in society.
