In recent days, the U.S. military has conducted a series of missile strikes in southern Iran, targeting various infrastructure, including bridges and an airport. Reports indicate that the strikes hit Iranshahr airport, two bridges near the Strait of Hormuz, and a railway station in the port city of Bandar Abbas, among other locations. The Iranian health ministry reported that these attacks have resulted in at least 38 deaths and over 400 injuries.
The U.S. Central Command confirmed that the strikes targeted numerous military installations but did not provide specifics on civilian structures. Iranian state media, however, emphasized the impact on civilian infrastructure and reported significant destruction in Hormozgan Province as well as throughout the affected areas. The ongoing military actions mark the sixth night of U.S. strikes, with Iranian authorities signaling a possible response to the escalation.
