Metlen and the Tsakos Group have formalized a partnership to develop one of Greece's largest hybrid renewable energy projects. This collaboration was announced following Metlen's entry into an existing Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) established by Tsakos Group, aimed at the development and operation of a solar power plant combined with a battery storage system.
The project includes a solar facility with a capacity of 251.9 MW and an energy storage system that will enhance the efficiency and reliability of renewable energy output. Metlen’s participation in the SPV accounts for a 40% stake in the initiative, which represents a significant strategic investment for the company in the renewable energy sector. The partnership signifies a step forward in advancing Greece's renewable energy infrastructure and capacity.
