On July 7, 2026, a motorcycle journey commenced from the port of Limassol, organized by the Initiative for the Memory of Isaac and Solomou. This event marks the 30th anniversary of the murders of Tasos Isaac and Solomou Solomou, two Greek Cypriots who were killed in the 1990s amid tensions surrounding the Cyprus conflict. Approximately 60 participants, riding 40 motorcycles, embarked on this trip, which includes stops at significant locations in Greece associated with the memory of the deceased.
The motorcycle caravan aims to honor the memory of Isaac and Solomou while also calling for justice. The families of the victims are participating prominently, emphasizing that the messages of memory and justice remain alive. It has been reported that the group plans to meet with the President of the Hellenic Republic during their journey, as they seek to foster unity among the Greek community while remembering the history and sacrifices of their ancestors.
