During recent discussions, Cyprus' Deputy Minister of Tourism, Kostas Koumis, stated that the impacts of recent developments in the region on tourism remain manageable. He highlighted that the Ministry is closely monitoring the situation and continually assessing the data to ensure the sector's stability.
Koumis made these remarks during a meeting with the Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to the Republic of Cyprus, Abdullah Alturki. He acknowledged a reported decrease of 4.9% in tourist arrivals for May but emphasized the Ministry's commitment to supporting the tourism industry through ongoing evaluation and response strategies. This proactive stance aims to mitigate any adverse effects as the situation evolves.
