The Konia road in Paphos is set to be opened to traffic on Tuesday afternoon, according to a statement from acting mayor Angelos Onisiforou. The roadworks are in the final phase, with asphalt laying currently underway. Onisiforou expressed optimism that the road would be completed as scheduled, barring any unforeseen circumstances.
Earlier reports indicated that there had been a slight delay in the completion of the road due to technical issues faced by the contractor responsible for the asphalt application. Onisiforou mentioned that the laying of asphalt would resume on Monday, allowing for the anticipated opening to proceed on time.
