Following the implementation of the new DVB-T2 digital television system, numerous complaints have emerged from consumers regarding technical failures and exorbitant charges from service technicians. Reports indicate that many viewers are still experiencing issues, such as receiving only a black screen on their televisions. The Consumer Association has noted a surge in grievances concerning both faulty decoders and the high fees being charged for repairs.
Additional reports have highlighted that some technicians are charging as much as €180 for a single visit, often without effectively resolving the problems faced by consumers. The situation has intensified, with hotlines receiving an overwhelming number of calls; for instance, the Ministry of Research and Innovation's call center reportedly handled 1,600 inquiries in one day. Public frustration continues to grow as many feel they are being charged unfairly for services that are not rendered satisfactorily.
