The European Commission has released a report recognizing Greece's steady and systematic progress regarding the rule of law. The report indicates that Greece is among the 13 EU member states that have made advancements in this area since 2020. This progress encompasses various institutional functions and reforms related to the rule of law.
Despite these improvements, the Commission maintained its previous four recommendations regarding the rule of law, highlighting that significant challenges remain for Greece. Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis commented on the report, asserting that the country is on track with its agenda for a renewed institutional framework, which includes a focus on constitutional reform as a pivotal step towards strengthening the state.
