A 46-year-old woman is set to appear in a British court on July 14, 2026, regarding Greece's extradition request connected to the Marfin arson case. She was arrested at London’s Gatwick Airport before boarding a flight to Greece, as confirmed by the National Crime Agency (NCA). The legal proceedings will take place at Westminster Magistrates' Court, where the court will evaluate the extradition request from Greek authorities.
This case stems from allegations related to the 2010 arson attack on a Marfin bank branch in Athens, which resulted in the deaths of three people. Two other suspects, both 42 years old, are also involved in the case and are expected to provide testimonies. The extradition process will unfold in accordance with British legal protocols, determining whether the woman will be sent to Greece to face charges.
