Anthropic has recently launched "Claude Science," an AI research workbench specifically designed to address the needs of scientists. This new flagship product aims to streamline the research process by providing a unified environment where researchers can analyze data and manage complex computational workflows. Unlike traditional AI models, Claude Science focuses on enhancing workflow efficiency rather than developing new models.
At a launch event targeting pharmaceutical executives, biotech founders, and researchers, Anthropic highlighted that Claude Science features an intuitive user interface tailored for scientific tasks. The workbench includes over 60 preconfigured skills that span various disciplines, such as genomics and computational chemistry. An automated verification agent is also integrated to check citations and calculations, further facilitating accurate research outputs. The platform can operate locally or on high-performance computing (HPC) clusters, allowing flexibility in research execution.
