The Greek Minister of Labor and Social Security, Niki Kerameus, announced a new employment initiative aimed at supporting unemployed individuals aged 55 and older. The program will provide 8,000 job placements over a two-year period, with a focus on employment in municipalities, hospitals, and public services.
Participants in the program will receive a gross monthly salary of approximately 920 euros and will be afforded standard insurance coverage, including full health benefits. The initiative seeks to bolster the workforce among older individuals, addressing the need for their inclusion in various sectors. The announcement was made during a recent interview on the television station Action 24.
