The Cypriot police have made a fourth arrest in connection with a significant drug trafficking investigation in the Famagusta district. A 35-year-old man was apprehended on Wednesday as part of this ongoing inquiry, which initially uncovered over six kilograms of cannabis resin and one kilogram of synthetic cannabis known as KIEF in an agricultural property.
The police have already detained three other suspects involved in the same case. The haul of drugs, which totals approximately seven kilograms, is considered substantial and has drawn the attention of law enforcement agencies. The investigation is being led by the Drug Law Enforcement Unit (YKAN), and authorities are continuing to pursue leads related to the distribution and possession of these illegal substances. The case highlights ongoing concerns about drug trafficking in the region.
