A 28-year-old British man has shared his experience of relocating from Liverpool to Paphos, Cyprus, where he rents a villa with a swimming pool for a cost lower than that of his two-bedroom apartment back in the UK. He described his previous daily routine of walking to work in the rain and expressed a desire for a change in lifestyle. Now, he enjoys a different daily schedule that includes exercising and working remotely from Cyprus.
His move aligns with a broader trend, as a survey by the British Council revealed that 72% of young people aged 18 to 30 in the UK are seriously considering living and working abroad due to factors such as dreary weather, high living costs, and challenges related to child care. This has contributed to a significant number of individuals leaving the UK in search of better opportunities, with nearly half a million people reportedly having emigrated last year to various destinations, including Cyprus.
