In a series of coordinated operations across Cyprus, local police conducted nighttime patrols resulting in the arrest of six individuals and the issuance of 261 traffic violations. The operations were aimed at enhancing public safety and preventing serious criminal activities. During the operations, a total of 595 vehicles were stopped for checks, and 784 drivers and passengers were inspected.
Among the traffic violations recorded, officers issued fines for various infractions, including a significant number focused on speeding. The police provided increased visibility in urban areas as part of their strategy to maintain order and deter potential criminal acts. This comprehensive approach highlights the continued efforts of law enforcement to ensure safety and compliance with traffic regulations on the island.
