The Limassol municipality has enhanced its beach maintenance capabilities with the acquisition of a new beach-cleaning machine, the Beach Tech 5500, costing €250,000. This state-of-the-art device, which has a loading volume of 1.3 cubic meters, aims to improve the efficiency of cleaning the city’s extensive sandy beaches, thus contributing to better environmental management and service delivery.
According to the municipality's announcement, the introduction of this equipment marks a significant upgrade in the resources available for beach maintenance, intended to ensure a cleaner and more pleasant environment for both residents and visitors. Additionally, the local authority has made strides in environmental enhancement, having planted over 1,300 trees along the beaches as part of ongoing efforts to beautify the coastal area.
