Estimates for university admission thresholds in Greece for 2026 indicate an anticipated increase in scores for medical and polytechnic schools while a decrease is expected for law schools. According to various reports following the release of the results from the Πανελλαδικές (national exams), the first and fourth scientific fields are predicted to experience downward trends, whereas the second and third fields are expected to see upward movement.
Notably, in the medical schools, a slight increase in thresholds of approximately 200 to 250 points is anticipated. The educational expert Giorgos Chatzitegas, cited by multiple outlets, confirmed these trends, indicating that while most schools will see marginal changes, the increase in the third field—especially regarding in-demand programs—will be more pronounced. Overall, these projections reflect the differing conditions experienced in the examination subjects this year.
