European Commission representatives visited Cyprus on July 2 and 3 to conduct an annual performance review of the Thalia 2021-2027 program, which is aimed at funding various projects across the country. During their visit, they toured several project sites, noting that many are nearing completion or have already been finalized. This program is part of the EU’s cohesion policy and focuses on enhancing development across member states.
The meeting allowed for discussions on the progress of project implementation and the fulfillment of necessary conditions for the program's effectiveness. Additionally, priorities for the interim review were highlighted, emphasizing the ongoing importance of assessing both the performance and the tangible impact of these funded initiatives on local communities and the economy. An announcement regarding the outcomes of this review and future directions for the Thalia program is expected.
