Greek police have arrested 17 individuals in a significant crackdown on a criminal organization linked to drug trafficking and armed robbery. The operation was conducted in Thessaloniki and the island of Mykonos, targeting a gang allegedly comprised mostly of supporters of a major sports team, as confirmed by the Sub-directorate for Organized Crime of Northern Greece.
Authorities have reported that 15 of those arrested are believed to be key members of this group. During the coordinated raids, police seized firearms, including handguns and a shotgun, alongside various drugs. The investigation remains ongoing, with law enforcement actively searching for the presumed leader of the gang, who has been previously accused of harboring criminals.
